About Us – The Euclides Network:

Connecting European Universities through Innovation and Collaboration

The Euclides Network is a dynamic alliance of 21 higher education institutions across 8 European countries. It is committed to fostering meaningful academic cooperation in the fields of engineering, technology, digitalization, and project management.

Founded in 2000 in Darmstadt, Germany, the network builds on more than three decades of collaboration that began in 1989, when a group of forward-thinking engineering colleges met in Ghent, Belgium, to explore international cooperation through the Erasmus programme. Since then, Euclides has evolved into a resilient and future-oriented academic community, shaped by shared values and a dedication to academic excellence, innovation, and mobility.

What You Should Know About the Network

The Euclides Network brings together universities of applied sciences and engineering faculties with the common goal of enhancing the quality, relevance, and accessibility of international academic experiences.

Through long-standing trust and regular exchange, the network creates a framework for cooperation across borders. A yearly network meeting, hosted in rotation by one of the partner universities, offers a platform to align strategies, initiate projects, and strengthen partnerships. But collaboration is continuous: throughout the year, member institutions work together on curriculum development, teaching innovation, and the organization of joint activities.

Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) have become a hallmark of Euclides’ international engagement, combining academic rigor with intercultural exchange. Introduced under the Erasmus+ 2021–2027 programme generation, these initiatives integrate online preparation with short-term physical mobility, offering participants valuable learning experiences along with Erasmus+ funding opportunities.

The network’s core areas include:

  • Engineering and Applied Sciences
  • Digital Technologies and Innovation
  • Project Management in Technical Contexts

The key objectives are to:

  • Foster international mobility for students and academic staff
  • Co-create transnational teaching formats and learning modules
  • Strengthen intercultural competencies through collaborative learning
  • Support the institutional internationalization of member universities
  • Promote shared innovation in curriculum design and teaching practice

Our Impact
